September 22, 23 and 24, Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec
Prevtec microbia is pleased to announce that it will participate in the 2008 edition of Innovet, an international Get Together for the veterinary biotechnology industry, as a partner and sponsor of the event.InnoVet, to be held this year on 22, 23 and 24 September 2008 in Saint-Hyacinthe, is one of the most important conferences of the animal health sciences and technology industry in Canada.
It simultaneously brings together industry leaders, investors and researchers from around the world, becoming an indispensable event for people wishing to exchange ideas and share knowledge about the major challenges and issues that are vital to the world's veterinary community.
InnoVet is also an ideal place for meeting key industry stakeholders, for laying the foundation and developing partnerships and strategic alliances. Indeed, the event devotes an important part of its program to business networking, as well as industry tours.
The most recent edition of InnoVet, which took place in 2007, attracted some 200 participants who examined the theme of vaccines and antibiotics intended for livestock. This year, the program will focus upon innovations and trends in animal production: An integrated approach to food safety.
InnoVet is an initiative organized by the Cité de la biotechnologie agroalimentaire, vétérinaire et agroenvironnementale de Saint-Hyacinthe. Located on the outskirts of Montreal (Quebec, Canada), this science pole hosts more than 150 institutions involved in research, teaching, technology transfer and industrial firms specializing in the agri-food sector. Amongst them, let us note the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of the Université de Montréal, the only francophone veterinary medicine teaching unit in North America, that has distinguished itself all around the world, notably for its research in the areas of animal reproduction and infectious diseases.
Prevtec microbia is pleased to support the Cité de la biotechnologie and its Innovet initiative, and thus make a contribution to the development and promotion of the life sciences industry. Michel Fortin, president of Prevtec microbia, served on the planning committee for Innovet 2008.
