Prevtec microbia sponsors the 2009 Safe Pork symposium
Québec City has the honor of hosting this year's 8th edition of the Safe Pork Symposium and Prevtec microbia is pleased to join in this event as a partner and sponsor.
The main goal of this Symposium is to bring together leading international scientists and specialists from various pork-related scientific fields to present and discuss the most recent scientific developments, policies and strategies and to provide policy- and decision-makers with sound recommendations.
Since the first edition of this event (Aimes, USA, 1996), the scope of the Symposium has widened from Salmonella control and pre-harvest research to a broader range of foodborne pathogens, as well as to chemical contaminants and physical defects within the pork chain.
For the very first time, short training workshops will be offered to Symposium participants in 2009. Leading international experts in food safety and pork will share their experiences in applying various epidemiological, molecular and pathogen-control approaches.
Prevtec microbia is proud to be partner of an event where the Organizing Committee has worked cleverly to organize such an opportunity for learning and networking. This event leads to an international exchange of ideas on research and policy issues related to the control of foodborne pathogens in pork.
