The international aspirations of Prevtec microbia inc. are taking shape. Target 12-3-4 summarizes the direction set by President and CEO Michel Fortin: to introduce, in 12 countries on 3 continents, 4 products by 2015.

The first product is the Coliprotec vaccine whose distribution recently started in Canada. It is now going through the licensing process in Brazil, where Pretec microbia do Brasil monitors its progress. After the approval stage was reached in the province of Parana, where Prevtec's Brazilian offices are located, the team got a visit from Michel Fortin in November 2009 to support the continuing efforts to secure approval in Brasilia, the national capital.

Other countries are interested in the oral vaccine protecting piglets against post-weaning diarrhea. Among them is Spain, where Mr. Fortin participated last September in a trade mission with promising results. Since his return from Madrid, Barcelona and Leon, leaders of major companies have come to Quebec to pursue discussions of partnerships with Michel Fortin and Eric Nadeau, Vice-President of Scientific Affairs and co-founder of Prevtec.

Michel Fortin has also visited Russia in August when he was surprised by the enthusiastic welcome which greeted Coliprotec. Approval procedures are also progressing in the United States.
