At the instigation of the Governor of Paraná (Brazil), Orlando Pessuti, Prevtec Microbia will work with the Technology Institute of Paraná (Tecpar) to produce a vaccine against diarrhea in piglets.
This announcement was made by Michel Fortin, President of Prevtec Microbia inc., and Luiz Fernando Ribas de Oliveira, CEO of the Technology Institute of Paraná (Tecpar), after a joint meeting held on May 6, 2010. This agreement builds on a cooperation agreement signed in 2005 between the cities of Cascavel, in Paraná, and Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.
