Innovation and performance in animal production

Prevtec microbia develops products and technologies to improve animal health and to increase performance in animal production. Currently, our scientific research focuses on the prevention and control of bacterial infections and the improvement of performance in the production of food animals, such as pigs, poultry and cattle.

Our R & D program encompasses a portfolio of products at various stages of development and validation:

• Live vaccine against bacterial strains causing edema disease in pigs

• Growth factor, to replace antibiotics in food animal production

• Live vaccine for the prevention of post-weaning diarrhea and edema disease in pigs

• Antibodies against various serotypes of Shigatoxine-producing E. coli, including E. coli O157:H7, O26, O111, causing important food borne illnesses affecting humans

• Other products offering protection against Salmonella and Campylobacter.
